Happy Happy Joy Joy

This morning I ran 23 miles and my heart rate was at or below 146 the whole way. (10:38 average pace)
And a couple days ago I was sitting in the car and suddenly realized I couldn't feel my heart jumping around, so I checked my carotid and felt 20 - counted them - 20 calm, normal heartbeats in. a. row. Who knows how many normal beats there were before I started counting them??
I really believe I will get over this heart nonsense and a year from now it will all have seemed like a bad dream.
I am in the best mood right now!
Woo-hooot!

WOO HOOO!!! That is the BEST news I've heard in a while. Fabulous! I'm so happy your heart is healing and getting back to normal.

Here's to crummy things evolving into distant memories.

What a great run and even better news about your heart. And I can't believe the huge day-to-day weather fluctuations you guys are having!

does this deserve a cocktail?!?!? lol I have to tell you, I worry about you and that crazy heart of yours! It's too good of a heart to be giving you such grief!! Have you tried giving it a good stearn talking to? wink wink. Like Greyhound said, I want you well!! Okay, not for the same reason, I won't be racing with you, but I'll certainly be yelling on the sidelines for you!!!

That is an incredible 23-mile run!! What a pace and heartrate :)

I didn't know about your heart nonsense being a newer reader of your blog. I tried to look back at older posts, but started feeling like a stalker. I am so happy to hear that your heart is beating calmly and normally though.

Here's to more wonderful days like that!

i don't know all the history on your heart issues, but BIG CONGRATS!!!

i have fitness induced bradycardia. my resting heart rate can drop as low as 47 on a really good day. it freaks medical professionals out!!! but it's a good thing. means my heart muscle is STRONG!!!

can't wait to read your marathon race report!!!
