Pronunciation is Everything

I had quite a laugh today while reading Nytro's blog. In her race report last week she was over-sharing the way so many runners do about some half-marathon health issues.
I commented on how funny that was and asked if she was going to be posting any pictures of "pussy blisters". I meant that as in "pus-filled", like an adjective, not like a noun. I never use that word as a noun! I hate that word!
Regardless, I now have a visual in my head of what she thought I meant and it's like a joke that won't die. I've been laughing about it for over an hour. I'm still laughing right now!
bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.... ;-)

Arrgh! Spelling is everything!! Pus is that nasty stuff, not puss! Puss is like Puss-in-boots!! LOL!

That's a riot! You're right, when pronunciation is key I guess the keyboard just doesn't cut it.

I was a little surprised when I read your comment on Nytro's post. I had no idea you had that in you!

Was there a problem? Seems to me the clarification has done nothing for my mental images.

Way to go "Magic Man"

It made me smile when I read your post. That mistake gets made in healthcare notes all the time, and it always makes for a good laugh in our office!

That's hysterical! But more of a cyclists issue than a runner's one, no? At least before Terry saddles came along...

Well, I'll see you at Chisago, but I'm NOT in running shape right now! There's no way I'm banging out a half-marathon this weekend (dang knee!).

a whole new take in lost in translation, no?

when i told benny about the mistake, we had a good laugh. i remember thinking when i read that comment:

"wow... i mean, i put myself out there talking about the yeast infection... but she just took it to a whole nother level. T. M. I."

thanks for the laughs. you have now had two comments that have made me laugh out loud. i suspect you and i would be great friends if we lived closer.
